Alphabetical order – clubs are the lowest, followed by diamonds, hearts, and spades who are the highest. This ranking is used mostly in the game of bridge.
Alternating colors – diamonds are the lowest, followed by clubs, hearts, and spades who are the highest. This ranking is used mostly in the Chinese card game Big Two or Choh Dai Di.
