If the number of players is 9, break up into 3 teams of 3. If the number of people playing is 12, you can either break into 2 teams of 6 or 3 teams of 4.
• Sit down between opposing teammates. Players are required to alternate their physical position with opponents. Each player has to sit in a seat around a table that’s in between two players from the opposing team. This way, each team will have turns in a fair and consistent order throughout the course of the game.
• Next, unfold the board & distribute the chips to each player. Then you must take the game board out of the box and unfold it. Lay it flat on the table. Take out the green & blue chips if the number of teams is 2. Take out the red chips too in case there are three teams. Then, you need to decide which team will get which colored chips, and divide them equally among the players of the team. For example, if one team of 2 is blue and one team of 2 is green, each member of the blue team will be given half of the blue chips and every member of the green team will receive half of the green chips. The red chips will see return into the box. The red chips are to be used only if you have more than two teams or when there are fewer red chips than there are blue and green.
• Next, cut the deck in order to determine which team goes first. Sequence comes with two regular decks of playing cards. Shuffle both decks separately and arrange them into two neat stacks with the cards facing down. Then put one of the decks off to the side. Make a player from each team cut the other deck by picking up a part of it. Next, you will have to look at the bottom card of each team’s part. The one who has the lowest card would have to deal first.
• Deal the cards. Have the dealer shuffle the cards and then deal them by creating as many piles of cards as there are players. Each pile is required to have an equal number of cards, which depends on how many people are playing:
